I liked the idea of the show where you hear the events from both sides own mouths BUT there are a couple of problems with the show. It is usually pretty obvious who the guilty party is and then there is the abyssmal writing for the crappy narrator with the usual little nitpicky adjectives we are all used to from the media's dogwhistling newspeak. The narrator is just awful as well. Not really sure if they have ever had that kind of gig but they need some lessons or go back to Big Bad Wolf story time at the local library. The liars are poor at best and the body language alone is usually enough to give it away. That said it is a nice spin on the usual murder * stuff, I just wish it could be less obvious and use more neutral language in the narration. Also a new narrator would probably be good. That guy from Oak Island or the guy that did the Dominick Dunne series would be awesome. Not the Oak Island guy I take that back. That jerk knows pretty much how the world will end at this point and yet parrots the same three sentences week after week, arranging the words in a computer lol.
In theory one of the people would be telling the truth and the other lying. That's not the case for most of the episodes. One of the people is frequently someone who doesn't have firsthand knowledge of the case and they deliberately don't offer corroborating evidence that would be easily obtained. Revamp or pull the plug.
