Gem is the Secret Gem! Cheesy love story but nice for a rainy afternoon.
Yes, a basic romance movie, but a well acted storyline that deserves to be watched and enjoyed. The location for the shoot was quite beautiful, and it enhanced the movie. There are reviews that blast the movie as boring and badly acted, but I just did not see that. I enjoyed the movie, and while I do watch romance movies, I most definitely don't find most of them engaging enough to enjoy. That was not the case here.
Again a great Australian made film, suppodly set in the USA (filmed far north Queensland). Great Australian actors having to use that American taught of using no accents. Better than an an American trying to impersonate our accent. Really enjoyed it. Was great to see the grandfathers Australian accent slip through occasionally added,a quirkiness to the show. Well Done.
It's cheesy, totally predictable, not at all believable, it has the " small hometown comeback-happy life-vs-big city awful existence" story, that you almost feel the need for some Christmas decorations to be the clasic Hallmark Christmas movie.
Totally predictable and shallow. Also think the main actors were too old for their roles. Something that really annoyed me was to see her with lipsticks even when waking up in the middle of the night or leaving the ocean... So unrealistic!
