No storyline, bad acting, bad audio, and bad camera work. It is a typical 2010's style teen movie. 20+ year olds trying to act like teens. Trying to be hypersexualized with no real point. There is no nudity if you're wondering. I think the worst part of the movie is when they show what looks to be an almost 30 year old acting like a teen who's smoking, and she has obviously never smoked before. If it seems like this review is now nonsensical it is. I have to get to the minimum character required to post this review even though I summed it up in the first line. So, anyway, I hope you have a great day and find a better movie to watch.
I would've write this -10. Got to be the dumbest waste of time movie I've ever seen. This movie had to be written and directed and video recorded by a bunch of college-age film students. Not a single person in this movie ever had any acting experience. The worst acting I've seen in a long time. How does movie ever got produced and distributed is well beyond me. Looked like it was videoed with a cell phone.
Well, for a teenage comedy, then "The Touchstone" is fairly straight forward. Sure, the storyline and plot is generic, but the movie still managed to remain interesting and enjoyable to watch. Director and writer Robert Remy managed to deliver something watchable, albeit very generic here with "The Touchstone". However, while the movie was entertaining enough for what it was, I feel that the comedy aspect was a bit lacking. I, at least, didn't really laugh much throughout the course of the movie. It just felt like director Robert Remy didn't really go all the way and delivered the laughs where they were needed. The storyline is your average teenage comedy about adolescent boys trying to hook up with women. Enough said, so you know exactly the type of movie you are in for here. The acting in "The Touchstone" was actually working out nicely, and the young actors in the lead definitely carried the movie well enough. "The Touchstone" was, however, hardly a movie that you will sit down to watch more than once, as the storyline just didn't have sufficient contents to sustain more than a single viewing. My rating of this 2012 movie is a mediocre five out of ten stars.
