KS2 Geography

In this lesson, we will be learning about the four regions of Europe: Central Uplands, Western Uplands, North European Plain and Alpine Mountains. You will also learn about the tallest mountain in Europe and also the important rivers that divide up Europe.

In this lesson, we will be learning about the continent of Europe. We will begin by identifying Europe on a world map. We will then identify other countries, including the United Kingdom, on the map of Europe.

In this lesson, you will learn about the population of Europe as well as understanding the population density in each subregion of Europe. You will study the important cities and landmarks across Europe, learning lots of new facts! Finally, you will also learn more about the economy of Europe and what is traded into (imported) and traded out of (exported) Europe.

In this lesson, we are going to be looking at a case study, which means an example, of an earthquake. We will also learn about the causes of a tsunami.

In this lesson, we are going to be learning about measures cities have taken to protect their people and the city's infrastructure against earthquakes.

In this lesson, we are going to be learning about mountain ranges across the world and how they are formed. We will also learn about how ocean trenches are formed.

In this lesson, we are going to be learning about how volcanoes are formed. We will then think about different types of volcanoes and we will conclude by recapping on where volcanoes are located.

In this lesson, we are going to be learning about the structure of the earth, what the earth is made of and where volcanoes and earthquakes occur and why.

In this lesson, we are going to be looking at a case study, which means an example, of a volcanic eruption. We will consider the immediate and long-term effects of the eruption and we will think about the reasons why people choose to live near volcanoes.
