Sad topic, but not totally a sad movie. Melissa McCarthy is fantastic, as expected. It's about loss, love, a bird, and a few misfits. There are laughs along the way when you least expect it, and the story moves forward, as does life.
While the storyline is a little thin on the full impact or the loss of someone and sorting out mental health, it does a good job of showing different sides. Just the right mix of sad and happy to have an impact. Mental health is no joke and there should continue to be more light shone on the struggle. Great choice on actors.
Very relatable film for anyone who has lost a baby. It was gorgeous. Loved every minute of it. It makes me terribly sad to read all the bad reviews. I'm certain you don't have to have had lived experience to love this film, UT for those of us who have, it was so wonderful to see the aftermath of the event played out in such real world terms. Grief is sad, grief is funny. This is life. I absolutely loved it.
This movie is wonderful! I don't usually watch sad movies, but this was well done! Sadness, but a little of Melissas humor! I highly recommend. Im not sure why people didn't like this.
The love you take is equal to the love you make.-Paul McCartney.
