Having watched the other Netflix show on the Menendez Brother in Monsters, I walked away still feeling like I wasn't sure what really happened. We can all have an opinion but I hope not everyone watches that show and thinks they can without a doubt know what happened because they filled in so many wholes with speculation it's marred the true facts. This documentary was very good in hearing from the brothers as well as other important figures during the trials. It also highlights without a doubt that the second trial was a farce and that the brothers deserve in the very least an appeal. I believe they were both sexually abused and although this is no means a reason to murder your parents, I feel if they had of had a fair second trial, they would have received a manslaughter conviction. This means, and I agree, they have paid their dues to society and should be released. This is my opinion but the law must make a decision on their outcome, which is in discussion now. I hope this time they hear all the testimonial evidence from the relatives and finally give these boys a fair hearing.

I have been following this case for many years now and this documentary gives a great summary of all the facts. I believe that the brothers were sexually abused for years and that led them to unalive their parents to stop the abuse once and for all. The only thing I am happy about here is the love that God created between the brothers that they only think of priortising each other over their individual selves. Being a sibling to 3 myself, I am so happy to see that they have this purest of love and protectiveness which siblings have for each other. In all honesty, both the father and mother are pure evil. Lastly, I wish the best to the brothers and I hope they get released soon. Prayers for them!

Could not make it through the entire case, too horrific to comprehend. Giving this a 10 for recognition because they need to be freed, those poor boys deserve justice. After watching the monsters series, I needed to see this one after following the case for a long time now, it's kept me up at night for years and never left my mind. If child abuse hits close to home then it may not be a show for you, it's graphic in detail and yes the story needs to be heard, but it's a hard watch. For anyone who doesn't believe these brothers, this is a must watch. The parents failed them and the system failed them.

I have watched various documentaries on this case, but this one is by far the best as shows the court case, and goes into a bit more detail. You hear from prosecutor, family, jurors, the brothers themselves, people that actually lived the case. I do believe that there was abuse, I do also believe that the brothers are guilty and should have been punished as they made a very unfortunate choice to deal with the problem, but for how long is the debate. I was there in the 90s and sexual abuse was taboo, nobody really understood or talked about it, and was mostly seem as the victim's fault. I like what Erik said about he doesn't want the crime they committed to be forgotten or diminished, both of them says that night is with them all the time, they make clear that their choice that is not the way out. I believe that if the trial was today the outcome would be different. All in all, compelling documentary, I felt for both sides, and I just see it as a big tragedy. They had everything to be happy. Success, money, health. From where I am sitting, all very sad.

The sexual molestation angle looks like a cooked up story by the lawyers to help these guys get out of jail for killing their parents. They are both liars. The father was probably tough on them and trying to make them responsible and tough. But the sexual molestation story is obviously fake. They made it up to try and escape a sentence. The whole Netflix story is nothing but a sham show to try and change people's opinion. The fact is that these guys are liars and they killed their parents for no good reason. They are now trying to get away with murder by playing on people's minds and sentiments about child sexual abuse.
