Emerson Heights is a story of love that seeks to answer the age-old question - can you follow your passion, and still follow your heart? When Cody McClain (Austin James), an aspiring actor trying to make it in Los Angeles meets Briley Williams (Gatlin Kate James), he is immediately smitten. However, he soon learns that Briley is from New York and has to return home. Not one to let things get in his way, Cody pursues her anyway. They begin a long term love affair, and attempt to beat the odds of long distance relationships. However, when Cody's career takes off and he is the lead of a blockbuster film, he struggles to juggle his newfound stardom and his feelings for Briley. His struggle intensifies when his co-star, Haley (Amanda Grace Benitez), reveals her feelings for him, and his manager, Vick (Matt Singletary), seeks to keep his career on track; at all costs.

not a bad movie actually

Initially I felt so safe as I screened it for the family. Pleasant, kind characters. Interesting plot and scenarios. Suddenly the couple are going at it in the bedroom, which changes it to an entirely different genre. Some may say that's real life. I just thing it was directorial blundering which mixed genres. Goes from cheery, to downer. Cinematography, acting, photography, editing, and directing otherwise make the grade.
The plot was excellent...well written. The movie acting was just not as professional as the normal movie. But it was a good romance drama. Almost like a Nicholas Sparks novel!!
Couldn't get past the first 10 minutes, the acting is awful & there's no chemistry between the main characters in my opinion.
OMG.... Terrible acting!! You'll wanna drop this, don't watch, or you'll regret!
Call me a sentimental fool, but I really enjoyed this. The two leads are married in real life, and that makes the chemistry between them amazing. There are elements of a lot of Hallmark type movies, but so what? It entertained me. I came across this on You Tube. Check it out!
The movie is a little on the cornier side, but it comes through that story may have a little real life in it mixed with the story line. We are all looking for that real love and that is what this story inspires.
