What's not to like in a wonderfully acted series with wonderfully choreographed action scenes, powerful acting with twists and turns in the plot. The landscape was stark yet beautiful, and the music was subtle and lively. While the ending left a few holes and the de rigueur Chinese patriotism, the intelligence of the plot is the hook for me. This was an action film with hints of romance, important characters who die, but justice wins without vulgar language or sex scenes. The main actor known for his rom coms became the son of a widowed police officer willing to infiltrate the complicated leadership to find her and report on their doings. Just a great story with great acting and plot. It was a slow start with momentum that doesn't quit. I hope there is a season 2.
