The Painter

...yet here it is - a movie that makes every Hallmark movie look like Citizen Kane in comparison. You genuinely have never watched anything as badly written, acted, directed or cast as this. For some reason, my wife is still watching it. I had to leave the room after about 15 minutes. It is that atrocious. I managed to spend longer giving the VelociPastor a go. At least you knew with that one that it would be awful going in. In short, if you really want to kill some brain cells, do something more fun than watching this. Like smoking meth. Or performing a self-lobotomy with rusty knives. Just don't watch this.

DON'T believe the 1 star reviews. This is a perfectly acceptable low budget no star action/thriller movie. Are there bits for you and your mate to make fun of? Of course, and not just the matrix moment, but what do you expect of a low budget no star movie? Both my mate and I agree it is better than the mega budget with two starring actors and two star directors The Gray Man. Interactions between father and daughter are nice. A good twist at the end that I didn't see coming although my mate said he sort of did. LOTS of opportunities to yell at the screen, "JUST SHOOT HIM/HER"🤣. A perfectly acceptable way to spend a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon.

I am not even finished watching the movie and had to write a review (which is not common at all for me). I wasn't expecting a great movie so am fine with the predictable plot and not great fight scenes. I love to watch Hallmark movies so am good with predictability! The one reason I may not finish watching it is because of the horrible acting by Marie Avgeropoulos. I can't imagine that anyone could do a worse job than her. Well maybe the other lady agent... Maria A. Completely ruins the movie. So, know that it is a fine movie - nothing special but okay except you will want to rip your eyes out when she is on screen!
