Today I sat down and narrated the entire story of this drama to my husband. He doesn’t watch dramas, but he listened to the whole story from me. "If I didn't meet you, I wouldn't miss you this much If I didn't know you, I wouldn't think about you this much If we weren't together, I wouldn't need to disappear If I didn't care for you, I wouldn't need to remember you If we didn't live each other, we wouldn't need to leave each other If we didn't see each other, we wouldn't have to be with each other Only if I would never met you"

From start to finish, the drama was excellent and consistently engaging. I don’t usually watch historical dramas, but this one really won me over. Watching all the princes together had a certain warmth to it, but it was heartbreaking to see them leave one by one. The race for the throne is truly merciless. Neither the 4th Prince nor the 8th Prince were inherently bad—they were simply trying to survive in a system that gave them little choice. As Hae Soo said, if they had met in another time, things might have turned out very differently. The 4th Prince wasn’t the “king of blood” by nature; circumstances shaped him, and he wasn’t as cruel as history made him out to be. I’m relieved Hae Soo made it back to her own time; otherwise, the ending would have been unbearably bleak. That said, I wish the drama had shown more about what happened to the rest of them afterward.
