I'm surprised something as real as this story has been released.. Beautiful man with humanity
I really liked the main character in this series, the narrator of this story. Dan Schneider. Well... It's actually not one, but two connected stories: one of his sons death and one of the sequential mission work that followed. Such a unique and special guy and an overall interesting and fascinating story.
The idea of the serie is ok ... kind of educational. It has 2 "plot twist" .. But in general it is SUPER SUPER slow, repetitive, and very American! A lot of blabla about god, and being a good american... too cliché. Thw shole story could have been told in 1h and thats it. Wouldn't recomend it.
Most boring 4 minutes of tv I've ever seen before turning it off.
Welp. This is the latest example of the new phenomenon of fabricated "true crime" style "documentaries". Ever since the genre exploded roughly 4 years ago I knew that producers would eventually start making up stories and running them through the cookie cutter format that so many of us have come to crave like coffee or chocolate. The first time I noticed this phenomenon was Abducted In Plain Sight...which was utterly ridiculous. Soon after that I began seeing the Investigation Discovery Docs on Hulu and every one of those stinks to high heaven. The Pharmacist is just the newest. Always suspected Evil Genius was BS as well but never been able to stand it long enough to find out. But anyway...I'm pulling the string on this one. Shame on you NF. But hey Give the People What They Want huh? More accurately though I suppose it's true that nobody ever went broke overestimating the stupidity of the general public. So right on. Get money
The Pharmacist is ruined by its protagonist-a narcissistic man with a God complex. The whole series reeks of white privilege. These themes are real and important but I hope viewers aren't inspired by this naive vigilante quest that at times is downright reckless.
