I watched this movie on a flight so I put up with it. Let me explain, if you have a shred of moral fiber in you, you will cringe at this movie. This movie wants you to feel sorry for people who not only take no responsibility for their actions they don't even think 5 minute ahead. Family has no meaning at all, anything goes. The cast and characters are more concerned about welfare of a dog than a new baby or a child. This movie is morally corrupt, it would be a sad day if we have to live among people portrait in this move. It is rather unbelievable that some one wrote this and someone thought people may find this amusing and spent money making it. The plot is so boring you might as well watch grass grow, it is not funny in any way, There is no story in it, it is just things that happen and they are bereft of reason. Don't waist your money and more importantly don't waist your time, You can instead go catch flies it would be more interesting.

I stumbled on this movie while looking for something to watch, I am a Paul Rudd fan ever since FRIENDS, so gave it a try. The movie is really light, it restores your faith in good things in Life, for example being Honest. Yes, little things in life matter and being good to everyone around you is one of the little things you could do to help this world become a better place, people learn eventually good pays off better than bad (lies, dishonesty, etc). Love Paul Rudd, and Zooey Zooey Deschanel <3. Also, I could connect with the innocence of love Ned has for his Dog, Willie Nelson, lol, strange name for a Dog, wait for the climax of the movie, you're gonna love it. Those who've already watched the movie know what I am talking about. Grab a beer, some light snacks and watch the movie I must say, You will feel good about it.

I saw this movie in the theater on the Friday it opened. It brought nothing to the table, and was perhaps the worst movie I have ever seen, certainly the worst movie I've seen in the theater. I went to this movie thinking it would be a good comedy, like most of Rudd's movies within the last 5 years. It should not even be called a comedy. It wasn't dramatic either, I don't know what it was other than pure garbage. The only slightly amusing parts were all shown in the trailer. A trailer which leads the viewer to believe this is a comedy. It fooled me. I am really questioning how so many people rated this movie above a 5. I visit IMDb all the time, but this movie got me to finally register so I could tell others how awful it was.

Laid back relaxed, down to earth, and honest. This movie takes a different approach to lots of things. The comedy is chilled, refreshing, and entertaining. A pleasure to watch, and actually has a great plot and back story. Rudd's sisters all have their own story line going on, and his honesty stirs up problems. He may be an idiot, but he is an honest idiot. His strong performance leads to some decent overall pacing in the movie. While this isn't anything astonishing, it's surely not a bad film. It's demeanor and individuality are what set it apart, and what make it worth watching.

Paul Rudd, the main actor, plays the same role he has played in many movies before, a bumbling version of himself. From that I can assume he is very charming and lovable in real life and that personality is the anchor of this film. If you cannot stand Paul Rudd, you will not enjoy this film. Strangely enough, a film that could have been very enjoyable gets weighed down by the female characters, his sisters, who are very one dimensional stereotypes with no personality and undertones of mysogyny everywhere. And it was written by a woman. Go figure. That aspect of the film damages the validity of the plot and makes major parts of it painfully unrealistic. The film at heart has some heart and wants you to to find your heart in it but it hates and makes you hate so many of the other characters that it is hard to find that good piece. Funny at times, but not enough. Also terrible Hollywood ending. Wait until it comes out on TV.

Apatowesque Dramedy that has no delusions about its rich protagonist (played masterfully by Rudd), depicting as someone who is at once refreshingly innocent and monstrously annoying. Oddly likeable in how its round-brick hero tries his best to find the best in people who simply either exploit him or show him humanity at its worst. Often painful as it is indeed, meant to be. This will not be for everyone but it's still pleasant to see a movie written so professionally. This movie is everything it wanted to be and that's admirable even if one of its writer's talents is writing intensely hateable people (the ex and the probation officer especially though I suppose if someone was a likeable person they wouldn't be a probation officer). If nothing else it will for sure renew your contempt for people in law enforcement especially probation officers.

As long as you keep your expectations reasonable, this is a pleasant enough way to while away an hour-and-a-half. Paul Rudd turns in an enjoyable performance as Ned, the eponymous idiot brother. Cluelessly oblivious, yet affable and oddly charming, Ned wanders through the film naively screwing up his sisters' lives as well as his own. It's not a knee-slappingly hilarious movie, but it is funny and droll. This film is very similar to another recent one, "Jeff, Who Lives at Home," starring Jason Segel. The main characters are nearly identical. Segel and Rudd, of course, starred in "I Love You, Man," one of the best comedies in recent years. There's not a lot to say about a movie like this without getting into spoiler territory. It's a light comedy, but with some situations and dialogue that mean you should watch it after the kids are in bed. I'll give it a 7.

It was decent. I thought Paul Rudd was good in it, actually most of them were. I don't think it's as bad as people say, but it isn't too good either. Although I did enjoy the 90 minutes or so of it. There were a few funny bits in it but I don't think it was supposed to be an all-out comedy. I like Paul Rudd is most things and when he went angry at the charades game I thought he was very good. The film was defiantly no masterpiece and I probably wouldn't watch it again. I didn't particularly like the ending because I'm not fond of lovey-dovey scenarios as it is not very realistic but I didn't mind it as much as I usually do. I wouldn't recommend it unless you like those types of movies or if you want to see Paul Rudd as, I thought, he was very good in it. I'm not sure whether it could've been better. Maybe if it had went a different way in terms of what genre is was in but I think this one suited the film.
