I enjoyed this film a lot. It's not ground breaking or stylish or full of violence. It's nice and easy with funny characters and some laugh out loud moments. A we'll put together, charming film.

Crime is something I don't really like to watch. So a movie having Crime in its title was a no no for me, but mysteriously I ended up persisting with this movie only to be amazed by what it had to offer. Wonderful acting, amazing background music that made the humor so delightful, those characters and the ending of the movie -- worth watching. I laughed like crazy until my stomach hurt which honestly did not hurt but my throat did. My most favorite scene was the one with the dog. Amazing how they write books and then they make movies too out of those books, wonder where they get all the stories from - crime, theft, robbery ? ;-)
Same premise. Just would have been better if they had just done a remake. It' s really a cheap and disrespectful way of not acknowledging the 80's classic with Danny Devito and Bette Midler. So if you've seen RP, this it's the same premise but without any comedy charm. A dud fake remake.
Whoever writes about goofs or inconsistencies about the movie, should actually watch the movie. One: Marshall having a wound on the left after being hit on the right...he hit the dresser on the left side of his forehead before hitting the floor. Two: Melanie wasn't topless but had the top untied. Three: Melanie was thrown into ocean, not the pool. You can see the boats moored in the marina.
This an example of how a really, really...really bad direction ruins a good story played perfectly by awesome actors. Soundtrack is horrible bad, it never colorize the atmosphere wich is always a blurred incoherent photography. The movie itself is watchable, but just for actors and actrecess because they play their roles well, but all is watered down by horrible deleznable director job. Anyway watch this movie at yout own risk.
