I don't often watch Lifetime movies but this movie seem interesting being that it was based on a true story. I thought that it was written very well and I also liked the way that the writer gave the three different character perspectives. That aspect of it drew the viewer in and also gave a suspenseful aspect in the fact that you didn't know who's version of the story was the truth. It was a very different roll for Melissa Joan Hart in that she played a grandmother. Her character was stoic but compassionate. The other actors were well cast and did a wonderful job in bringing the story to life. I do recommend this movie.

Would You Kill For Me: The Mary Bailey Story told the engrossing story of the events leading up to the shocking murder of a man from three perspectives: a grandmother, mother, and young daughter. Each one remembered it differently but it was clear that the victim of murder was often the perpetrator of extreme abuse himself. We see not only the court case but also the family life they had before. It was an incredibly powerful movie that was not only entertaining but cathartic, with rays of hope through out the darkness. It helped balance out the abuse scenes which were so well written and believable it was a bit hard to watch. I wanted to protect Mary myself! All of the cast was great! I loved seeing Melissa Joan Hart in a new movie, playing such a heavy role with such ease I forgot it was her! The writing was superior- in fact, I turned the subtitles on so I wouldn't miss anything. I immediately bought it after the premiere on Amazon so I could watch it again! I highly recommend this movie!
Would You Kill For Me: The Mary Bailey Story was an excellent movie. It tells the story of an abusive man who was shot at home from three perspectives: the mother, her 11-year-old daughter and her grandmother who lived with them. We see each person's viewpoint through court testimony and flashbacks, which was a very interesting format. It was cool to see how three people could view the same event and people differently. The acting in the movie was superior, especially the main 4 family characters. The abuse scenes were so well done and believable that it was actually a little hard to watch at times. It was a very moving and powerful movie that I highly recommend.
