the plot is nice but what ruins this movie is the protagonist makes the dumbest choices, it made me so frustrated I just stopped watching. 2.75/5
source: What Keeps You Alive
Long tedious nonsense! Ending asinine! Poorly acted. Dear director, "Stop Writing"! Decent production values. But still no reason to watch this endless tripe of stupid decisions by the characters.
Maybe I'm too dense to understand what could possibly be going on in the protagonist's head. You know those horror movies where they just do the stupidest thing after stupidest thing? Yeah. It's frustrating. 2 stars. Would have been worthy of more had the stupidity of the movie not been the only factor keeping the movie going after being half way in. "How do we make the movie longer? Oh, I know- we'll just make the protagonist make every poor choice possible in order to extend the time!!"
I wanted to like this, but seriously. Never have I seen anyone less interested in their own survival. Both character make incredibly stupid decisions, but when you manage to drug a killer and escape, why drive back? This isn't even the worst decision made. Terrible film, not even promising after the fall from the cliff. Watch literally anything else. It only got a 2 star because of the location.
Please, don't waste your time. Pros: good scenery Negatives: b grade acting, stupid plot that's so unbelievable. I have no idea how this movie got funding. It's that bad.
I hate when people post "boring" as their review because it's usually for some fascinating slowburn well told story. I just cant think of any other title more on the nose for this film. This film just doesn't sparkle. Brittany allens heroine is supposed to have some sort of complex personality but its not ever shown or hinted at so she makes these kind bizarre painfully plot driven decisions that make you cringe. The big reveal of the film happens in the first couple minutes and so the rest of the movie is a sort of slow cat and mouse game but neither the cat nor the mouse are particularly interesting. The villains motivation is just so drab. Its a shame I think a couple more scenes spent digesting the character portraits could have made this more watchable instead I was just thankful went it ended.
