I watched this last year at the start of my KDrama binge. It's a fun, fast, intelligent, witty, tongue-in-cheek, classy, and romantic drama! Jung Il Woo is very handsome, bright, witty, charming and charismatic. The female lead has a special skill, which intrigues the lead/CEO of a large business. The plot was great, the chemistry between the leads was spot on, the side romance was cute, the mysteries were interesting. This chaebol has a secret passion, aided and abetted by his sidekick lawyer. By chance, his path crosses with a bright pretty young woman who has no permanent job. She survives. She becomes his helper by chance and then all the magic, fun, fast paced action starts. Some very funny scenes as well. I remember one that stood out - this brainy secretary becomes a companion at a super expensive club -- I think Jung Il Woo almost choked. A+ - fast, fun, fantastic acting, memorable, witty, romantic by spades, unique.
It's a really cheap, lazy and outdated copycat that had no soul or identity to speak of. This shouldn't have been released in 2022. The cast were fine but they should've had some standards when picking up their projects. The synopsis emphasized on the drama having a love story and romance but that doesn't happen until the last 1/4. During which, the drama pushed their romance into our faces to a sickening level without actually being romantic but more like children discovering attraction to the opposite sex type of romance. The story and writing were practically nonfunctional on a literary level that it made me feel ashamed for finishing it. I wanted to draw some parallels between it and orange cats but I would be insulting orange cats. It was broadcasted by ENA, I should've known better.
Leads who also acted in Bossam have great chemistry but even Kwon YuRi who's very cute couldn't save her very annoying character (and it's not her acting but what the script made her do - lots of stupid stuff making her seem not very bright) and the second female lead is very irritating. Lazy and misogynistic scriptwriting with too many contrived situations/solutions, like a taxi just appearing for the heroine to catch and chase the gangsters who've abducted the hero. And the taxi driver chasing them down like a pro racer...in ep8. Also why for the life of me did the heroine not call her brother, the cop, the moment the chairman (hero) got abducted? The best thing though are their various "undercover" disguises which were good and rather funny - probably the best scenes in the series. The first 3 episodes are a lot of fun because of the many disguises but it's all downhill after that. Only Jung IlWoo and Kwon Yuri's chemistry made it bearable to watch until the end.
Most hilarious first 3 episodes I have ever seen!! I was hooked right from the beginning. Jung Il Woo brings so much humor to "Good Job" and is the perfect male lead for the arrogant CEO and double life detective. I am happy to see in the beginning episodes that the theme for the CEO's company is that he is pushing for the future a more modern theme of the meta verse, NFTs and crypto than his uncle's more conservative view. Loving the show and especially Jung II Woo as he has been the master of humorous disguises as he has lived his double life between CEO duties and Detective trying to find out who stole his deceased mother's necklace. The show is now heats up romantically and gets better every episode. And worth watching throughout to the ending. Good Job leading actor Jung II Woo!
