تدور الأحداث في بلدة (ديدلوك) الهادئة على ساحل البحر، عندما يُكلف مُحققتون مختلفتو الطباع بحل العديد من القضايا، حيث تستخرج (دولسي) جثة العمدة السابق، بينما يُحرق قارب يعود لأحد الأشخاص المختفين منذ سنوات، وتُطارد (إيدي) شخصًا مقنَّعًا بين الأدغال.
