On March 3, 2017, at M-1 Challenge 75 in Moscow, dual American champion and TUF veteran Keon Caldwell (USA), 11-3, challenged former M-1 Challenge lightweight champion Maxim Divnich (Moscow), 12-2. Keon Caldwell, nicknamed "The Black Assassin," had been competing in mixed martial arts for over eight years at the time. During that time, he won championship titles with Square Ring Promotion and Island Fights and competed on the 13th season of The Ultimate Fighter, which he left for personal reasons rather than defeat, as most competitors do.
