This movie had a fun story with emotions. Acting well interesting but i like it better then the "cesspool Hollywood puts out" - it's clean, it's encouraging and gives you a desire to help and be there for others.
I liked the movie... the only thing I didn't agree with...was the question about Samuel. I don't believe the OT suggests the appearance of Samuel to Saul was a demon in disguise. It is a harder case to make...that it wasn't really Samuel's spirit...than not. There isn't any other evidence I know of...in the OT or NT of demons posing as humans...(other than the reference that Satan can appear as an 'angel of light')... the reasoning sounds logical (God wouldn't act in such a case...and I agree with that on the surface)... but the text suggests, in Samuel's rebuke of Saul...that is is more likely Samuel's spirit himself, than a counterfeit demon. I am certainly open to other explanations... but would like more logical reasons... can you suggest other reasons, I'm missing? Otherwise, the theology leaves open a lot of questions (and perhaps fear), that such things happen today... Even so, we have God's word, and His promise... to protect us from evil.
While the acting wasn't great and it moved a little slow, this movie did have a good storyline and true biblical facts regarding life, death, demons and Jesus. I enjoyed it for that and the love story between the two leads.
