Mendarat Darurat

Mendarat Darurat has the right formula as a romantic comedy. The comedy side and the romantic side complement each other making this film fun to watch. The audience's initial introduction to the characters in the film's storyline and the introduction of the series of conflicts that later colored their lives were successfully delivered with a fairly thick comical energy. Reza Rahadian, Luna Maya and Marissa Anita wer able to provide quite satisfactory acting. Congrats to Pandji to be able to move on and grow up from the failure of Partikelir. This movie is better than expected and will suprise you in a good way.

Well, as I sat down to watch the 2022 Indonesian romantic comedy "Mendarat Darurat", I did so without ever having heard about the movie. But with it being an Asian movie that I hadn't already seen, of course I opted to give it a fair chance. Writers Pandji Pragiwaksono, Shani Budi Pandita and Gamila Arief started out with a fair enough script, but the movie lost momentum as it progressed. And that was because of the pacing of the narrative. There simply wasn't enough drive to the storyline, and that made the air escape the balloon, deflating the narrative. And not even halfway through the nearly 2 hours that the movie ran for, the movie just died. Too little of any real entertaining worth had happened by then. It was a shame, because the movie start off nicely and there definitely was some potential to the storyline and the characters. But the snail-paced narrative just effectively killed off any entertainment and enjoyment the movie had to offer. The acting performances in "Mendarat Darurat" were good, and leading actor Reza Rahadian definitely carried the movie quite well with his performance. "Mendarat Darurat" ended up being a swing and a miss, and I have to admit that I gave up on the ordeal close to halfway through it. I have zero intentions of returning to attempt to finish watching the movie, simply because it is too slow paced and uneventful. My rating of director Pandji Pragiwaksono's 2022 movie lands on a four out of ten stars.

Reza rahardian same story in every movies he playin, worth of comedy but not with character. Same style same bored vibes. I just watch an entire movie of his and dosen't know why the director and producer always cast him aniway. I mean like, Habibie movie are legit biography and impresive acting. But now all his movie just like layangan putus with different multiverse. Its like a party event with the different chiks but the same guy. Well sorry if my english messed up. I hope yall cut the expectation when hopes this movie could entertain your day. Its worth to watch if yall wanna kill the time on a plane or long drive at the bus.
