Take a young upstart like Sofia, match her up against a talented veteran like Ivelisse and throw in a “refuse to lose” attitude from both competitors, and you get a terrific, high-octane match with too many near falls to count. Ivelisse gets the first 2-count moments into the bout with a Sunset Flip. She then works over Sofia in the corner and slingshots her into the bottom rope. After grinding down Sofia on the mat, Ivelisse connects with a Superkick, but Sofia kicks out at 2. A Samoan Drop, Airplane Spin, and Fisherman’s Suplex all result in 2-counts as Sofia refuses to stay down. After trading forearm shots, Sofia reverses an Irish Whip into the corner. She climbs to the second rope to rain down forearm shots to Ivelisse. Sofia employs a rollup, crossbody block off the ropes, and a sitout faceslam, but now it’s Ivelisse’s turn to keep kicking out. The frustration mounts and the stakes are raised for each wrestler with each near fall, and there are plenty more to be had from running high kicks, a crucifix, Magistral Cradle, over-the-knee Backbreaker and more. Will anyone finally figure out how to put her opponent down for the full 3 count?
