It’s not billed as a submission match, but if you enjoy watching two technical wrestlers applying, escaping, and reversing submission hold after submission hold for close to 30 minutes, you’re gonna love this hard-fought battle. The match begins with Ivelisse locking on a Figure Four Leglock, which is quickly reverses by Samantha. When Ivelisse locks on a Headscissors on the mat, Samantha does the same, and it takes a coordinated roll to the ropes before either one will release their Headscissors. The two trade painful holds throughout the match. When Samantha applies a calf shredder, Ivelisse escapes and works it into a one-legged Boston Crab. When Samantha has Ivelisse trapped in a Camel Clutch, Ivelisse slips out and rolls it into a Bow and Arrow submission. And when Ivelisse puts Samantha in a seemingly inescapable face-down Full Nelson leglock on the mat, Samantha rolls it over into a Surfboard. The two add in the occasional high-impact maneuver as well. Ivelisse rolls over her Headscissors and repeatedly slams Samantha face-first into the mat. She also delivers teeth-rattling running knee strikes and crescent kicks. Samantha nearly ends the match with a Sleeperhold, but Ivelisse manages to get back to her feet and battle back. A solid strike followed quickly by a nasty submission finally forces one wrestler to tap out.
