Both competitors come out with none committal hand fighting The girl in blue gets a bulldog headlock and almost tosses into kesa gatame but the girl in headlock gets back to her feet there is option for harai goshi as she stands but it is missed. They go into 50\50 collar tie with sparse pummeling, then there is some scoring drama and random competitors stumble on the mat, rest break and were back. The girl in blue attempts harai goshi but is unsuccessful exposing her back. At 3:20 the bulldog headlock is successfully employed to land in Kesa gatame. The girl in blue starts to lose positon, as her opponent slips out the back the corner says don't let the head go but the elbow of the trapped arm was already free ,thus the position was lost. Note: when you have kesa gatame positon and your opponent is able to put their near side elbow (the one you should have trapped) to the ground, the position is lost and should be abandoned. If you insist on keeping the position after the elbow is lost your back will be taken which is what happens in this match. Resulting in a points loss.
