Always good work by King.fun hearing what we've seen in movie format already
I can't belive I waited so long to listen to the great book. And the last story, where is the movie from it?Greatness. Thanks Sir Mr King, your the best!
I give Different Seasons all five stars because I'm a huge SK fan and that'swhat most people do when they have a favorite author. But sincerely, I thoroughly enjoyed the stories I have been wanting to read The Body for a long time as Stand By Me was one of my favorite movies growing up. And yes Stephen King your stories make me forget the real stuff weighing on my mind for a little while and take me to a place I have never been. And Frank Muller was the perfect person to narrate these stories. Thank you so much Stephen King, Frank Miller, and audibles.
Loved the stories but they ended abruptly. Not a bad thing but I couldn't tell if my player skipped or if the ending of the story had come. Turns out the ending had come and the feeling of frustration is from wanting more.
It was very enjoyable listening to the origins of 3 fantastic movies and I'm hoping that someday we will learn what dark things are at the fringes of Breathing Method's "club".The reader was most excellent as well. Too bad he's no longer with us because he could make a Campbell's Soup ingredient list enjoyable to listen to. Fun novellas!
I have read almost all of the Stephen King's books. And I think that now this one is and will always be in the top five of my favorites from him. Buying this book I would have never thought that his shorter stories - comparing to his usual giants of novels - could impress me so deeply as they did. And I guess that not a small part of this impression is an impeccable narrative mastery of Frank Muller. I am not a native English speaker, but I think he nailed every word and every intonation. While I listened, I was there in Shank, I was in the kitchen of that old man, I walked beside those four guys, and I stood among those gentlemen. All in all, it was an incredible journey, and I'm sure I will return to these wonderful novellas again many times in the future.
