Red vs Blue Newbreed Sav 2023 00:09 Blue gets control of the head and drags Red down as Red reaches for the legs. 00:41 Red is looking for sweeps but doesn't monitor her guard well enough Blue gets the pass and mount. 01:39 Red uses her far arm to recover half guard by trapping the foot. The way she is bring that far arm across past Blue's center line opens her up to a back take but Blue does not capitalize. All is well that ends well good recovery by Red. 02:20 Ref stops the match not sure what he was saying something about the belt it seems. He restarts them standing. 03:04 Again Blue dominates the head and gets Red looking at the ground this makes for an easy snapdown. 04:44 Blue takes the back at the end of the match. Thoughts: These ladies are just starting out and already competing they can only improve from here. While simple that snapdown Blue kept using 00:09 and 03:04 is one of the most effective and safest takedowns for grappling athletes. Of course, this one needs some refining to deal with more advanced players, but the idea is the same. Props to both competitors for stepping on the mats.
