Muaythai World Championships 2012 in Russia, Saint Petersburg World Muaythai Championships 2012 was organised by the Russian Muaythai Federation with the opening ceremony being the demonstration of Russian culture blended with muaythai values which has gathered a great number of teams and spectators under the roof of Yubileyny Sport Center. St. Petersburg, one of the most historical cities in the world while muaythai is a martial art with ancient traditions; this made St. Petersburg just the perfect venue for the 2012 IFMA World Championships.
