On 25th August 2023, my beautiful mum transitioned into glory after battling hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), a common type of primary liver cancer. My family, my parents' church family, relatives, friends, frenemies, well wishers, on lookers and the curious laid mummy's body to rest on 29th August 2023 at our home in the west Nile region of Uganda. It has been a bitter-sweet experience for our family. On the one hand we are relieved and happy and rested that she is in the presence of our Lord and King; free at last from all the pain and discomfort in her body. But on the other hand, we miss her so, so, so, so terribly and would have preferred her to still be with us. Our ultimate comfort lies in the truth that mum is home; forever in the everlasting arms of the Giver of Life - our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We will see her again, of that I am sure. 💃🏿 Having had the honour of taking care of mum for the most part. I saw first hand, the work of God in her life. Right in the middle of her pain, I saw God change my mum from the inside out into a dazzling beauty who only spoke words of blessing and truth and encouragement and life. What a privilege that was, to be invited to witness a life so transformed, that she left many filled with hope instead of dismay . Thank you Lord🙏🏿 I want to thank every single one of you for your prayers, thoughts, giving, kindness, encouragement and love.
