This is the night The Brothers of Destruction reunited. In September 2006, Mr. Kennedy said he beat the best of Smackdown and Teddy Long gave him The Undertaker. Three weeks later, Kennedy did a tribute to him, saying he doesn’t want to beat him because he doesn’t want to embarrass him and be hated for it. Taker interrupted, saying he will show him no mercy. Kennedy wanted to hit him with the mic and it exploded in his hand. They met at No Mercy, where Taker hit Kennedy with the title, ending in a DQ. Then Taker hit him with the Tombstone and the ref followed. On Smackdown, Kennedy defended the US Title against Chris Benoit. Kennedy got distracted by Taker and Benoit tapped him out to win the title. MVP demanded better competition and Teddy gave him Kane. MVP went for his eyes and abandoned the match. They had a rematch next week, where MVP hit Kane with a low blow, ending in a DQ. Taker beat Gregory Helms, Kennedy instantly attacked him and Taker hit him with a chokeslam.
