Many would call Rob Van Dam a pioneer and innovator in professional wrestling. His unique martial arts background, one of a kind offense and unconventional attitude made him stand out in both ECW and the WWE. RVD got a reputation for high octane matches in ECW that led to world recognition as he became a hot commodity in the 90s. By the time he made his way to WWF, he was one of the select few who were welcomed with open arms by the pro-WWF audience.
