I know I'm probably not so qualified to review this one since I am a hater of the first season. But After seeing this, all I keep thinking was "so what?!" Everything that happens in this show makes you ask that question because none of the things really matters. There is no main conflict and the side conflicts get resolved so quickly, you'd think the show was moving at mach 23. Not gonna lie after seeing this I no longer hate season 1 and think that it is peak compared to this. The original has the main plot point of colonial mutiny as well as the Main character trying to live in the past. Here there's no such thing, and the main character learning to live in the past seems more irrelevant than anything else. There is no main conflict whatsoever. It feels like a sitcom where "whatever" goes like a comedy skid with random things thrown into the couldron to make some sort of weird potion that is essentially snake oil. As an aspiring writer I reject this this type of writing. I suspect the studio made everything pointless for revenue.
