A disagreement over who has the best Figure Four starts this match off. Kristin attacks and Malia’s trademark over-the-knee black boots are no protection from Astara’s leg slams, hamstring kicks and spinning toeholds. Soon Kristin is clamping on a tight Figure Four that has Malia screaming in agony. Hosaka’s endurance is put to the test as she suffers for an extended time in the hold. Even after reaching the ropes Kristin refuses to release the veteran. Malia finally spins over, reversing the hold and giving Kristen a taste of the pain. Once in control Malia delivers heel strikes to the knee, brutal thigh claws and an inverted Mutalock.
