Jaron “Boots” Ennis became the unified WBA and WBO World Super Welterweight Champion with a seventh-round TKO of Xander Zayas after a war at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. In a brutal 154lbs battle, the younger champion pushed Ennis to the absolute limit. Zayas battled back after a first-round knockdown and hurt Boots in the third.
