The game also upgraded the creation suite, most notably thanks to the debut of Create A Finisher which gave players the freedom to craft truly unique signature moves. But just as there were upgrades, there were significant regressions compared to earlier games. Many fans were disappointed to see modes such as GM Mode dissapear and the 24/7 mode get completely removed. While the game made strides in gameplay and customization, the removal of these deeper long-term modes left some players feeling like features were taken away instead of built upon. Road to WrestleMania mode instead makes it's debut with short stories featuring character specific arcs for Triple H, Undertaker, CM Punk and a few others, but this mode was easy to complete and didn't have the longevity found in classic career modes. In this video we break down how SmackDown vs Raw 2010 improved the wrestling itself, why the tag team experience felt stronger, and why losing some of the franchise’s best modes still left a bitter taste for many longtime fans.
