Nathan Lyon and Ravichandran Ashwin are the two most prolific Test off-spinners of the last decade. But beyond them, the list looks a bit strange. Moeen Ali, fourth. Roston Chase, sixth. Joe Root, eighth. Only three spinners are in the top 30 County Championship wicket-takers since 2015, and in this year's IPL, the top three left-arm wrist spinners accounted for more wickets than the top five off-spinners.
