Episode 398: WCW Slamboree 1993 RIP Ted Turner In 1993 WCW began doing more PPVs & wanted to have each PPV feel unique. Since the May event was taking place at The Omni(legendary wrestling arena in Atlanta & homebase to WCW), they decided to do a legends centered show. Have a Legends Reunion; with a Hall Of Fame, some legends matches, & make the entire night about them. Also in this was the WCW stars of 1993; headlined by a WCW World Title match between champion Big Van Vader & challenger Davey Boy Smith. Also on this show a NWA Title match between Barry Windham & Arn Anderson, a Steel Cage Match for the Unified World Tag Team Championships(WCW & NWA), A Flair For The Gold with what was supposed to be a reunion of the original Four Horsemen, & much more. This is my review of WCW Slamboree 1993: A Legends Reunion. 0:00 RIP Ted Turner 1:46 WCW Slamboree 1993 Statistics 2:20 The Legends Reunion Concept 3:15 1993 WCW Hall Of Fame 4:51 Four Horsemen Reunion(and Paul Roma) 6:55 Too Cold Scorpio & Marcus Alexander Bagwell vs. Bobby Eaton & Chris Benoit 8:12 Van Hammer vs. Mystery Opponent(Sid Vicious) 9:00 Legends Six Man Tag Team Match 11:16 Legends Tag Team Match 13:01 Legends Singles Match 14:29 Rick Rude & Paul Orndorff vs. Dustin Rhodes & Kensuke Sasaki 15:36 Sting vs. The Prisoner(Nailz) 16:34 The Hollywood Blonds vs. Dos Hombres(Ricky Steamboat & Tom Zenk)(Steel Cage Match for Unified World Tag Team Championships) 19:30 Barry Windham vs. Arn Anderson(NWA World Heavyweight Championship) 22:13 Big Van Vader vs. Davey Boy Smith(WCW World Heavyweight Championship) 24:06 WCW Slamboree 1993 Recap #WCW #Review #Wrestling From The Vault Episode Archive: Twitter: Instagram: Facebook: Threads: Subscribe, Like, Comment, Click The Notification Bell Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research.
