With the majority of its revenue coming from sea-based oil exports, Iran's regime will start running out of funds if America's naval blockade continues. On April 14, JINSA Generals and Admirals Program Participant Vice Admiral (ret.) Kevin Donegan, former Commander of the U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet, talked to Fox News on April 14 about why the blockade is more impactful than many people realize. Vice Admiral (ret.) Donegan, who also served as the Navy's Director of Strategy and Policy Division, underscored that Iran may not be able "to keep the economy running" if the blockade stays in place. The vice admiral also noted that, on a broader level, the blockade "has changed the game" by showing hesitant global shipping firms that Iran is lying when it claims to control the Strait of Hormuz.
