Igor Thiago scored his second goal of the Premier League season as Brentford suffered a late defeat to Sunderland at Stadium of Light. Dango Ouattara’s smart finish was overturned by VAR for a marginal offside during a first half that produced little goalmouth action - but the game burst into life after the break. Kevin Schade had a penalty saved by Robin Roefs, and Thiago’s header gave the Bees the lead heading into the final 10 minutes.
