Episode 397: The WWE Triple Crown From the creation of the Intercontinental Championship in 1979, WWE(then WWF) had a new milestone for wrestlers. Those who won the WWE, Intercontinental, & Tag Team Championship at least once in their career would be known as a Triple Crown Winner. Since that time 35 wrestlers have accomplished the Triple Crown in WWE, but there are other Triple Crowns. Women got a Triple Crown in 2019, 10 women have accomplished that feat(Women's, Women's World, & Women's Tag Team Championships). Tag Teams got a Triple Crown in 2016, 4 teams have accomplished that feat(World Tag Team, WWE Tag Team, & NXT Tag Team Championships). NXT got a Triple Crown in 2018, 4 wrestlers have accomplished that feat(NXT, North American, & NXT Tag Team Championships; NXT UK, NXT UK, & Heritage Cup for NXT UK). Managers got a Triple Crown as well in 1979, 8 managers have accomplished this feat(same requirements as the Original Triple Crown).
