My homemade Shrimp Lo Mein recipe is much better than restaurant style Lo Mein. This delicious shrimp stir-fry dish is simply amazing, with lots of sauce, fresh vegetables and shrimp. SHRIMP LO MEIN RECIPE: T= tablespoon t=teaspoon Marinade - to a bowl add: 1/2 t salt 1/4 t white pepper powder 3 garlic cloves, grated 2 T Shao Hsing rice cooking wine 2 T soy sauce 1/2 t baking soda 1/2 T avocado oil 1 T corn starch Mix well. Add 1 to 1 1/2 lbs. fresh deveined shrimp. Coat it well, cover with cling wrap, place it in the fridge and remove it ten to fifteen minutes before frying. Sauce - In a bowl, mix: 4 T soy sauce 2 T dark soy sauce 3 T oyster sauce 2 T Shao Hsing rice cooking wine 1/2 T SWEET CHILI SAUCE: https://amzn.to/3SKRl6x OR 1/2 T sugar 1/4 t white pepper powder 1 t sesame oil 1 T water 1/2 T cornstarch Set aside. Prep all the vegetables: 1/2 sweet or white onion, sliced 3 to 5 scallions (greens and whites separated) 1 T fresh ginger, grated 3 garlic cloves, chopped Half Napa cabbage or large regular cabbage, sliced 3 medium carrots, julienned 3 celery stalks, sliced 10 oz shiitake mushrooms, sliced 2 cups bean sprouts Cook 1 lb. of Lo Mein noodles in 3 qt. of boiling water for 6 minutes.
