Gabby Gilbert vs Amazing Maria

Gabby’s very excited for the match but Maria is hesitant to lock up with someone who looks like Rainbow Brite threw up and is having trouble taking her seriously. It’s hard to blame her considering even referee Xandra Bale can’t hide her amusement over Gabby’s antics but a series of creative covers net her several near falls. Unfortunately this vindication takes the form of an eye rake and her pig tails being tied to the bottom ropes with strikes laid in as Xandra frantically tries to free her. The foul tactics spark Gabby a bit but Maria is a step ahead with an X-Factor nearly marking the spot of her demise with only an arrogant cover saving her. Maria gets away with a cinematic telegraphing of a running knee in the corner but it’s not the Hollywood ending she was hoping for as Gabby fires back with everything she has left. In the end one wrestler finds herself barely escaping the frying pan of a high impact move only to end up in the fire of a submission!
