Hailing from the same British town as Britani and Saraya Knight, Sammi Baynz’ first appearance in our ring proves to be a predictably brutal debut. The unenviable task of welcoming Sammi to the USA falls to Cherry Layne, who is quickly introduced to Sammi’s hard-hitting style. With Sammi dominating the opening minutes of the match, a one-sided squash seems imminent. However, Cherry is no stranger to power and aggression and soon manages to battle back into contention. Unfortunately, the absence of a match official favours the more devious Sammi who repeatedly takes control of the match by any means necessary. Against an onslaught of cheap shots, choking and even a low blow, Cherry still fights back hard and finally seems to have Sammi on the defensive. So much so, in fact, that Sammi requests a moment of respite, claiming to have an issue with her eye. The validity of that claim leads to the end of this match, as a rope-assisted roll-up is enough to earn a 1-2-3 count for one of these women.
