On May 16th, at the M-1 Challenge 32 tournament in Moscow, mixed martial arts fans were treated to a highly engaging bout between two heavyweight fighters. Both were two-meter-tall fighters, each skilled in both striking and wrestling. Dutch fighter Jesse Gibbs made his M-1 debut on May 21st, 2007, when he courageously challenged Alexander Emelianenko at the inaugural Battle on the Neva tournament. It was then that he suffered his first career defeat. Following this, at the inaugural M-1 Challenge 2008 World Mixed Martial Arts Tag Team Championship, Jesse and the formidable Dutch team reached the tournament final, defeating Alexander Muravskiy, Carmelo Molina, Katsuhisa Fujii, and Akhmed Sultanov along the way. Gibbs crushed all four in the first round. However, in the championship final, the Dutch team was defeated by the all-star Red Devil team, and Gibbs suffered the second defeat of his career, falling to Alexey Oleinik's signature Ezekiel Choke. The Dutch fighter is a large man – nearly two meters tall and weighing 115 kg – but he also possesses great agility, excellent wrestling and striking technique, and extensive mixed martial arts experience. His opponent was Arsen Abdulkerimov, a fighter from the renowned Gorets club and winner of Russia's first-ever fighting reality show, M-1 Fighter. He replaced his teammate Magomed Malikov in this bout and was ready to take on the enormous Dutchman, who is equally as big and competitive. #Fights #Knockout #Battle
