This is when Ryback took out Chris Jericho for a year. In June 2013, Ryback demanded a match with John Cena. Jericho interrupted, saying he deserves to be in the Money in the Bank match. Jericho went after his injured leg, went for the Walls of Jericho and Ryback escaped. Ryback faced The Miz on Raw with Jericho on commentary. Miz was working Ryback’s leg, he dropkicked it, Ryback forfeited and Miz won. Ryback was talking to Miz, Jericho appeared and hit him with the Codebreaker. Then they faced each other. Ryback dodged the Lionsault and rolled up Jericho to win the match. On Smackdown, Jericho faced Curtis Axel for the Intercontinental Title. Paul Heyman distracted Jericho, Axel kicked him in the head and hit him with the Axehole to retain the title. Ryback appeared, caught Jericho with a clothesline, hit him with the Shell Shocked and kicked him in the stomach, taking him out for a year.
