This is when R-Truth went after Cesaro. In October 2012, US Champion Cesaro faced IC Kofi Kingston in a champion vs champion match. Kofi threw Cesaro into Miz, who then attacked him, ending in a DQ. Sin Cara put Cesaro into position, Rey hit him with the 619 and Truth followed with the Little Jimmy to pin the champion. A week later, Truth got a shot at the title at Survivor Series. Truth made his entrance, Cesaro interrupted, saying he sees through his dance and song, adding that he talks to an imaginary friend, calling him a joke. Then Truth faced Tensai. Truth hit Tensai with the Little Jimmy to win the match. Cesaro wanted to say something, Truth took his mic, saying he’ll knock his teeth out and will become a two time US Champion. On Smackdown, Cesaro faced Sin Cara with Truth on commentary. Cesaro hit Sin Cara with the Neutralizer to win the match. Truth started the USA chant, went after Cesaro, who slowly left the ring. They met for the title, where Cesaro hit Truth with the neutralizer to retain it. Next day on Raw, Cesaro beat Brodus Clay with Truth on commentary. Then Cesaro taunted him. They had a non-title match on Smackdown. Truth hit Cesaro with the Little Jimmy to win the match. A week later on Raw, Truth and Kofi Kingston faced Wade Barrett and Cesaro. Teddy Long came out and turned it into a fatal 4 way for one of the titles. The fans voted for Cesaro’s title. Kofi hit Barrett with the Trouble in Paradise, went for the pin, Cesaro picked him up and hit him with the Neutralizer to retain the title. Then a match was set between Cesaro and Truth at TLC.
