Despite Kiera brandishing her fancy belt it’s actually Aja’s “Southern Spirit” title that is on the line, though the belt is present in spirit only as it were. The respective champions immediately demonstrate how evenly matched they are trading Full Nelsons and countering them. A waistlock is foiled by a drop toehold and float over into a Side Headlock only to be filed by Headscissors in another display of equally matched talent. But title belts tend to bring out aggressiveness and it’s even more effective when it’s not anticipated as in this case with several fierce strikes and some corner work leading to the first near fall. Despite a retaliatory blow here and there the besieged grappler has no real answer for this heightened aggression and numerous strikes begin taking a toll. The match comes full circle with another Full Nelson and a counter leads directly to our climax but do we have a new Champion or is Kiera only leaving with the belt she brought?
