Publisher's Summary The Instant New York Times Best Seller Who has the right to change the world forever? How will we live online? How do we find comfort in an increasingly isolated world? The Carls disappeared the same way they appeared, in an instant. While the robots were on Earth, they caused confusion and destruction with only their presence. Part of their maelstrom was the sudden viral fame and untimely death of April May: a young woman who stumbled into the Carls' path, giving them their name, becoming their advocate, and putting herself in the middle of an avalanche of conspiracy theories. Months later, April’s friends are trying to find their footing in a post-Carl world. Andy has picked up April’s mantle of fame, speaking at conferences and online; Maya, ravaged by grief, begins to follow a string of mysteries that she is convinced will lead her to April; and Miranda is contemplating defying her friends’ advice and pursuing a new scientific operation...one that might have repercussions beyond anyone’s comprehension. Just as it is starting to seem like the gang may never learn the real story behind the events that changed their lives forever, a series of clues arrive - mysterious books that seem to predict the future and control the actions of their readers - all of which seems to suggest that April could be very much alive. In the midst of the search for the truth and the search for April is a growing force, something that wants to capture our consciousness and even control our reality. A Beautifully Foolish Endeavor is the bold and brilliant follow-up to An Absolutely Remarkable Thing. It is a fast-paced adventure that is also a biting social commentary, asking hard, urgent questions about the way we live, our freedoms, our future, and how we handle the unknown. ©2020 Hank Green (P)2020 Penguin Audio

really makes you think. beautiful continuation of the story. I absolutely love how differently it was told this time. definitely on my read again list!!
The cast is exceptional and the ideas are very well thought out. I love it.
Exciting and fun story with interesting ideas about our social culture, communities and power. The cast is also great and the all in all execution of the audiobook is done well. The book flew by!
I recommend everyone read this book. If you’re reading this, then just click buy. You won’t regret it. I read a lot, and never have I ever read such a relevant piece of literature than this book. On the surface, there is an amazing fiction story, but there are so many other stories being told here or themes to explore. I took so much away from this one bit of fiction that I can apply to my own life. I wish everyone could read this book.
I enjoy all of Hank Green's work. A Beautifully Foolish Endeavor and An Absolutely Remarkable Thing are so very much Green's fun, poignant, and kind style. He was successful at incorporating true-to-life female, LGBT, and Black voices into the storyline without it being ABOUT that, which I appreciated. Even non-binary pronouns made it in without it being "A Whole Thing" which was awesome. Love the extra interview at the end that comes with the audio version! Great work.
A story that keeps you on your toes, and has the power to bring the world together.
The first book was a cliffhanger. This gave us a satisfying conclusion. narration was great.
I find myself thinking, a lot, that Hank has put words and imagination to complex realities I was seeing but didn't comprehend well. This is a tale everyone needs to read or listen too.the audio narration is simply well done and helps polish and tone a tale of the scope of humanity.
The story was fantastic and keeps you thinking long after you’ve read it. The voice actors were amazing, and made the audio experience exceptional.
As a lover of the first book, this was immensely satisfying and just as thought-provokingVery well produced and directed!
