This is when The Undertaker couldn’t stop Brock Lesnar. In August 2002, WWE Champion Lesnar became exclusive to Smackdown. Later that night, Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle and Taker met for a chance at the title. Taker hit Benoit with the Last Ride to win the match. A week later, Lesnar and Taker met face to face. Lesnar started mocking Taker’s age, who said he hasn’t been tested yet and haven’t been taken where he will take him. Paul Heyman said Taker has a pregnant wife at home, adding that if anything happens to him, he will take care of her but refuses to take care of his unborn child, and Taker absolutely lost it. They met at Unforgiven, where they crushed the ref in the corner, ending in a double disqualification. On Smackdown, Funaki asked Lesnar about a rematch, who told him to meet him in the ring.
