Santana and Shazza may be learning their craft half a world away from each other, but you’d be hard-pressed to find two wrestlers so well-schooled in the fundamentals of wrestling. An early game of cat and mouse featuring test of strength lockups, quick joint locks and acrobatic reversals demonstrate how evenly matched they are. Every move is crisp and clean and every motion is made with a purpose. The match kicks up a notch as Shazza catches Santana in an Abdominal Stretch, taking the opportunity to grab the ropes to secure a little extra leverage. McKenzie manages to keep the high-flying Santana grounded with a Boston Crab and spine-bending Bow & Arrow. Unable to unleash her aerial attacks, Santana chooses instead to grind Shazza down with a suffocating Front Facelock, Abdominal Stretch and excruciating bridging Hammerlock. After a back and forth battle that sees both women take and deliver their fair share of pain, one wrestler can take no more and can only cry out in anguish as she’s forced to slap the mat and signal her desperate submission.
