National Collegiate Women’s Wrestling marked a historic milestone with the inaugural NCAA Women’s Wrestling National Championship, held March 6–7, 2026, in Coralville, Iowa. The championship welcomed 180 qualified student-athletes from across the country, competing in 10 weight classes as they took part in the first NCAA-sanctioned championship event for the sport. For years, athletes, coaches, administrators and advocates worked to grow women’s wrestling at the collegiate level, building the foundation that led to this landmark moment.
