Latasha and Layne claim to be besties prior to the opening lockup but match-ups without a referee have a way of testing the tightest of friendships and after a back and forth early series of armlocks and reversals this match promises to be a very close and hotly contested battle. Layne gains an early advantage and does significant damage with a side Russian Leg Sweep and sit out face slam, setting Latasha up for a tortuous stomach claw. Latasha shows the first signs of a fractured friendship as she turns a handshake into a vicious kick to the stomach and unloads on Layne with a Backbreaker drop, Bearhug, and grinding single leg Boston Crab. The action goes back and forth with neither wrestler able to control the other for very long. After a see-saw struggle a devastating Swinging Neckbreaker propels one wrestler on to victory but it might come at the cost of a friendship after such a spirited fight.
